Protecting Cows, Preserving Tradition and Life.
A Sacred Haven for Our Cows
Gau Gurukul
Gau Gurukul is an innovative initiative envisioned by Prof. R.S. Chauhan, aimed at empowering Indian youth through free, skill-based education rooted in the traditional Gurukul system. This model emphasizes learning by doing, enabling students to acquire practical knowledge and hands-on experience essential for self-reliance and sustainable livelihoods.
Targeting 10th or 12th pass, fail, or dropout students, Gau Gurukul offers a minimum one-year intensive training program in various aspects of cow-based rural enterprise. The curriculum includes cow husbandry, veterinary care, animal nutrition, natural breeding techniques, and the collection and preparation of Panchgavya—a group of five sacred products obtained from cows (milk, curd, ghee, urine, and dung). Trainees will also learn about packaging, marketing, and the health benefits of Panchgavya-based products.
One of the major pillars of this training is natural farming, promoting chemical-free food that strengthens the body and supports a healthy lifestyle. The program provides not only practical training but also comprehensive study material to help participants pursue this as a self-sustained business or seek employment in Gaushalas, Ayurvedic firms, or wellness industries.
The program is led by Prof. R.S. Chauhan, a distinguished expert with over 43 years of experience in veterinary science and research on cowpathy. Widely recognized as “The Cowpathy Man”, Prof. Chauhan brings a wealth of knowledge and passion to this mission of rural development through cow-based education.
Gau Gurukul is not just a training center—it's a movement to revive India’s ancient wisdom, empower youth, and build a sustainable future rooted in our Vedic traditions.
